It also bothers me when people post private messages on someone's wall like "When can you pay me the $10 you owe me?" or "Is your wife still mad at you?"
I saw this post on Boonie's sidebar and was intrigued so thought I'd stop by to say hello. A Facebooker who doesn't drive I would never pick my nose in public but confess I have been known to leave the odd (discreet?) message about people on FB.
Who has time to leave negative comments about other people on FB? It's sad really. There was a shocking and disturbing incident here recently about a boy who posted photos of his friends sexually assaulting a girl at a rave. He's been charged with distributing child pornography - hopefully sending a message to people that what they think in "funny" can be incredibly harmful and hurtful to others - not to mention against the law. (Charges have yet to be laid against the youth who actually assaulted the girl. I just don't understand that.) I was stunned that FB even allowed the photos to be uploaded. - G
I am always amazed when people are posting their dirty laundry on FB... but then again.. I do go look wall to wall to see what is going on.. :-0 I am nosy like that. :-)
ooohhhh, I love that saying! Do people NOT KNOW that if you comment on FB, the WORLD sees it?????
p.s one time I "liked" some corny Facebook saying that contained a F Bomb (it really was quite funny). Within 5 minutes I had an email from my Mom and a live chat from my aunt asking did you REALLY just do that?" Oi.
Both are something I would just as soon not have to see.

ReplyDeleteI don’t drive either.
ReplyDeleteDeeply profound post. Great fun too. Thanks.
All the best, Boonie

ReplyDeleteI admit that I am somewhat intimidated by FB and only make the most benign comments. Or only private messages. Seems to defeat the entire purpose.

People think that they can hide behind the anonymity of social media, but they are just being ass-hats!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
ReplyDeleteGreat rule! Although I have been known to pick my nose while driving. It's kind of like meditating because I zone out at the big booger retreivals.
ReplyDeleteBut sometimes it's a dangler and you have to just grab it!
ReplyDeleteHA! I love you.
ReplyDeleteI would love to post this as my status. Because you're right. In fact, I will! Credit to you, of course.
ReplyDeleteOh, did you see me comment about Karma- I so took it off, but no names, since they know who they are, lol
