Carol Matthau was the real-life model for Holly Golightly, the main character in Truman Capote's novella, Breakfast at Tiffany's, later made into a movie with Audrey Hepburn.

Excellent! Very powerful statement.
I like it!
I like the way she thinks.
I read an obituary and learned about Carol Matthau's incredible life story. And now I know who uttered those powerful words. Thank you Jeanne.
I remember my mother telling me when I was a teenager. "I don't feel any different than I was when I was a teenager." Knowing her way with words, I know she meant she felt like herself just as she had felt like herself as a teenager. She was about 40 at the time.
We can't be anyone except ourselves. It is a waste of valuable effort to try.
"There is no old age. There is, as there always was, just you." -Love that!
