Web Wednesday: Why Don't They Market That Here?

So my question is: Why doesn't Ford market this car in the U.S.?

  1. Yeah well, they still think that we love gigantic cars deep down inside...

In detroit every Friday or Saturday they have a muscle car parade showing off our 'strength'!

Maybe they'd be a little better off though selling these guys huh?

  2. Even over here some laugh at it - there's a lot of educating to be done on both sides of the pond, it seems!

  3. What a mean ad. I am not buying a car that kills a bird on a beautiful peaceful morning.

  4. I'll take 10 of 'em. Park them next to the Pigeon Palace on I-80, sit back and watch the show.

    Ha!

  5. I am not sure weather to laugh or be shocked...I saw plenty of these kind of cars when we were in Italy, and it does seem strange that they market them over there and not here...maybe a gas monopoly thing...I have heard that from people in the industry before...

  10. It's because our gas is so dammed expensive and it's still so cheap (comparatively) over there.

Besides, you might get run over by a Hummer.

  11. Love small cars!

When I was assigned to MI 6 in the early 80's, we loved the little cars. We could fly by them on our Yamahammers when the bad boys got out of hand. The real bitch was having to stop at those friggin' phone booths when Ivan yanked the yanks for fun. God, I wish those chaps at Wright Pat had given us GPS back then!

I still think of that night when I first met Diana. She was very sleepy and I was told to simply support her to her bedroom at The Baglioni. What an angel!
