Wednesday Culture Day

I'm tired of hearing it said that democracy doesn't work. Of course it doesn't work. We are supposed to work it.

Many of us spend half of our time wishing for things we could have if we didn't spend half our time wishing.

All the things I really like to do are either immoral, illegal or fattening.

Nothing risque, nothing gained.

A hick town is one where there is no place to go where you shouldn't go.

There is no such thing in anyone's life as an unimportant day.

(I know I've been a little light on content since I came back from my little hiatus, but there's a good reason. Vodka Mom is going to be out of town this weekend, and she's invited me to do a guest post. So I've been working slavishly to write something worthy.)

Is there really no such thing as an unimportant day? I can't decided if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Congrats on the guest post. Very exciting.

Good luck writing your guest post. Try not to alienate all of Vodka Mom's readers!

"Nothing risque, nothing gained" = pure brilliance.

Can't wait for your guest post!! I don't think it's possible to scare HER readers away, so you're safe.

I like the nothing risque, nothing gained quote...and your new av.

Tip: Have a martini, or 3, before writing the guest post. May I recommend a nice tart Lemon Drop?

Tell the readers at Vodka Moms you've poisoned her kindergarden class with Jimmy Jones Kool-Aid, and wiped out her entire writing base! HeeHeeHee... She'll kill ME for that! Just kidding, as always..

There isn't any such thing as a unimportant person or unimportant job...everything has value to those who choose to see it! Great post!

I will ask you what people ask me, and I should know the answer, but where do you think this stuff up? That was so open for jokes...I really mean what inspires you?

I like the raisin with the lips, that is not so waif, just wrinkly...I too had to use safety pins and panty hose only stay up because I have a tummy now, otherwise they too never fit me, now they roll down instead of slide...

Can't wait to read it. I think that 'no unimportant day' thing is supposed to inspire me, but I feel a little depressed about my day.

Fun fact to know and yell... I have the California Raisins Christmas cassette- and it is actually pretty darn good! I'll make you a copy if you plead and beg sufficiently...
