On the way to work the other day, I followed this pickup truck.
Most of his bumper stickers weren't memorable, but two caught my attention. The first said:
Rosie O'Donnell American
Jane Fonda Traitor
Cindy Sheehan Bitches
and I thought, Cindy Sheehan? Really? Because it seemed a little harsh to lump a woman who lost her son and wanted to understand why with a pair of celebrities who had no real skin in the game.
The second one said:
I Didn't Claw My Way to the Top of the Food Chain to Eat Vegetables
Which is actually kind of funny, but it left me wondering:
Is there any correlation between people's political beliefs and their risk of hypertension?
okay, the food chain one CRACKED ME up.
ReplyDeletehmmm, this is not reading well in my screen? either I need to make a eye Dr appointment or something is wrong with blogger? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'll get back to you on that one, I'm just off to the tattoo parlour to get "I Didn't Claw My Way to the Top of the Food Chain to Eat Vegetables" imprinted on my forehead.
ReplyDeleteI didn't understand at all the first bumper sticker. The second was cute and I sniggered at it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, high blood pressure is only risky for those people who take politics seriously?
I've said it once, and I'll say it again: If you've got more than one bumper sticker on your car, those aren't bumper stickers, that's LITERATURE! It's like reading the Op Ed column at the stoplight!
ReplyDeleteI try not to make snap judgments, but I'll just bet this guy wants no part of government in his life.
ReplyDeleteUntil they want to take his gun away...
Bumper stickers are fascinating...it is yelling your agenda and who really wants everyone knowing one's agenda.
ReplyDeleteNot me!
LOL!
much love

I'm with the others who loved the food chain one.
ReplyDeleteWell, that is an interesting thought. As a vegetarian, I'd have to say Yes!
ReplyDeleteWere bumper stickers sort of the forerunner for Twitter? The food chain one was very funny. I wonder what percent of cars have bumper stickers and if they are more prevalent in some parts of the country (or world) than others.
