Children Live What They Learn
Phinneaus is two. The other day, his mother was cooking dinner and he came into the kitchen and said, “Get out of that cabinet! There is nothing in there that you need!”
Samuel turned 3 in December. The other night, after he got up for approximately the tenth time, his mother walloped him. He grabbed her face between his hands, looked her directly in the eye, and said severely, “How many times do I have to tell you? You do NOT spank me!”
Kylie, pictured below, is a fashionista.
Gets that from her grandma.
(Okay, maybe not the fashion thing, but she did get the hat from me.)

Well if you own the hat, the title fits!
ReplyDeleteCute kids, cute grandmother...they say! Cuteness skips a generation :) right?
So true!!
ReplyDeleteMy son has started mocking with my own words, it's a little alarming.
Very funny.
Oh dear, out of the mouths of babes. And Kylie is so working that hay, um just like grandma I bet!!
ReplyDeleteKids ... nothing is better for the soul!!! Those are adorable and smart judging from thier comments ... trouble in the making, all of them!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, those are hilarious. Loved the first one made me LOL and the second one too.. :-)
ReplyDeleteMuch fun! Especially love the spanking comment! And gotta take the kid's side on the cabinet thing- there is plenty needed in that cabinet!! My daughter never cared about stuff in cabinets. But my son will happily deconstruct my entire kitchen in 30 minutes!
ReplyDeleteStory #2 bums me out. I cannot abide spanking.
ReplyDeleteMy sons are 28 and 31. Both have girlfriends. I've been told I can't have grandkids until I start acting like an adult....For a woman who wears funny hats, you got some cute grandkids, lady!
ReplyDeleteIf I only documented what my kids heard and then repeated from me, I would do nothing else in this world.
ReplyDeleteI love reading others' stories, so I know I'm not alone!
Samuel is like my son....he also lectures me about raising my voice and having good manners when I talk to him!!
ReplyDeleteThe kid comments are hilarious! When my oldest was two I told her that I didnt like her attitude. She replied, "I dont like your tutu either"!
ReplyDeleteSome real cute grands you got there..love your fashionista! :)
ReplyDeleteMy Kylie is a fashionista, too! Must be in the name...
ReplyDeletecute grandkids! Aren't they a JOY!

ReplyDeleteI thought it was the attitude she got from you!
