Cell Phone Etiquette

Assuming that, like me, you find many people to be total ass-wipes in their use of cellphones, you'll enjoy the following video:

If, on the other hand, you are an ass-wipe in your handling of your cell phone, just pretend this isn't about you.

That's pretty much how I get through life....

  1. The water runs into the old iron bathtub. I cheat and turn it up really really hot to see how hot I can stand it. I watch my toes in fear. Steam cometh. Ouch.OUCH!!! I give up! The rubber hose with the spiney rubber fingers around the outer edge gets ready to massage my scalp. The entire contraption is the color of old bubblegum, with an aluminum stamped showerhead, holes a sprayin'. It's Head N' Shoulders time, and the Beatles are playing on WING.

This was only a test, circa 1965. Please disregard this message.

Continue with current communication...... can't do it...we're gonna be in the Hudson...........

  4. Great one! I remember when most people began to get them and if one rang, we all looked in our pockets and pocket books to see if it was us. Most had the same ringers...great laugh!

  7. Cell phone Karma indeed!
I don't mind other people taking calls in public - as long as they are not with me! I cannot bear an evening out with a person who is constantly taking calls from other people!
I hear that London Underground is considering implementing a solution which will allow people to make calls from tube trains. What is going on with the world? Where else can we now sit with a group of strangers in excrutiatingly uncomfortable silence?!

I mean I own one, but I don't usually turn it on.

  10. One of the few commercials I enjoy watching.

I definately don't understand people's idea of cell phone etiquette. But then, there seems to be a serious lack of etiquette on all fronts.

  11. I have said it before and I'll say it again....we need a Miss Manners for cell phone and Facebook etiquette.

  12. My whole career, I have watched phone calls interrupt face to face conversations. I would drive 2 hours to get 10 minutes with a potential customer, only to have the phone ring and watch my efforts turn into nothing.. When cell phones became popular, I left mine in the car when on a call. Anything less was rude...

  13. I hate rude cell phone users. I think call waiting is just as bad. You gotta love talking to someone and then hearing the beep and they say "just a minute" as they put you on hold while they talk to an important person instead of you. They might as well say "talk to the hand"

  18. Cell phone Karma is when they develop brain tumors down the line form using their cell phone so god damn much everywhere they go. I jsut watched a documentary abut the increase in brain tumors linked to cell phone use. This one I am paying attention to and using the speaker function as much as I can.

Yesterday I was in a store at the counter getting served and the shop assistant sphone went off. She answered it and had a personal conversation while I stood there waiting. Can you imagine? Karma will give her a hard, cold slap in the face one day. Great video.
