Wednesday Culture Day

I'm tired of hearing it said that democracy doesn't work. Of course it doesn't work. We are supposed to work it.

Many of us spend half of our time wishing for things we could have if we didn't spend half our time wishing.

All the things I really like to do are either immoral, illegal or fattening.

Nothing risque, nothing gained.

A hick town is one where there is no place to go where you shouldn't go.

There is no such thing in anyone's life as an unimportant day.

(I know I've been a little light on content since I came back from my little hiatus, but there's a good reason. Vodka Mom is going to be out of town this weekend, and she's invited me to do a guest post. So I've been working slavishly to write something worthy.)

  1. Is there really no such thing as an unimportant day? I can't decided if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Congrats on the guest post. Very exciting.

Tip: Have a martini, or 3, before writing the guest post. May I recommend a nice tart Lemon Drop?

  13. I will ask you what people ask me, and I should know the answer, but where do you think this stuff up? That was so open for jokes...I really mean what inspires you?

I like the raisin with the lips, that is not so waif, just wrinkly...I too had to use safety pins and panty hose only stay up because I have a tummy now, otherwise they too never fit me, now they roll down instead of slide...
