Woo-hoo!

Just a quick second for a big "woo-hoo!"

Barack Obama is the first black president of the United States of America!

In the coming years, I will show this picture to my grandchildren, and tell them of my tiny role in the history of our country, at the time when we were finally ready to "judge a man, not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character."

And up in heaven, Martin, along with Abraham, John and Bobby, are smiling to see us finally reach this point.

Well done, my fellow Americans! Well done!

  1. Regarding the Woo-hoo! event...

Your hard work and enthusiasm has been acknowledged. One of my customers has an office on Michigan Ave. overlooking the park that night. They had a party. You were there in spirit.

    oops, I'm out of character...

In the back row of the small theater, Mr. Horton was awakened by someone leaving the movie in the middle of it. He squinted, yawned and felt the light from the alley on his face as it carried with it a charge of fresh air.

So let's add to the group, a nod and a prayer that maybe Malcom would also be smiling.

After his trip to Mecca, he said, "I am for truth, no matter who tells it. I am for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I am a human being first and foremost, and as such I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.”

    Happy TGIF to all!
